Candidate Expresses Admiration For Competitors Of
Stonehaven Half Marathon
Today Stewart Whyte, Conservative candidate
for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine, expressed his
admiration for the competitors in this year's Stonehaven
Half-marathon. Mr Whyte who acted as a marshall at
Sunday's 13 mile run said: "I have nothing but admiration
for everyone who took part in this year's run. The weather
was appalling, heavy rain, thunder and lightening. The
runner's showed a great spirit, as did the 30 or so
marshalls who stood out in the rain for three hours. It was
the first time that I have been and I was pleased to be able
to play a small part in making it a success. I will be back
next year and hopefully the sun will come out."
