Stonehaven Conservatives
Launch Petition
Members of the
Stonehaven Branch of the West Aberdeenshire & Kincardine
Conservative Association will take to the streets of the
town on Saturday of this week. They will launch a petition
to the Scottish Executive and Aberdeenshire Council calling
for improved funding support for Grampian police to
strengthen community policing.
The petition is
in response to local concerns over the need to see visible
police officers throughout communities in Aberdeenshire to
tackle issues from vandalism and petty crime through to much
more serious offences. The activists will also be
distributing leaflets to members of the public highlighting
their campaign.
The petition
will be available in the Market Square from 10 until 12.30
on Saturday 16 September.
