Local Conservatives go Online
West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine
Conservatives today launched their new website. Scottish
Parliamentary candidate Stewart Whyte said: "Our website is
another plank in our aim to communicate with people in this
constituency . Too many politicians are remote and only
contact the public at election time when they want their
vote. I am determined to change that and I have made myself
as accessible as possible. Every week I have been knocking
on doors asking people if I can do anything for them. This
website is another way for people to hear from us and more
importantly to get in touch with us.
From the website people can contact their
local councillor, MSP or Euro-MP directly. It also inlcudes
a diary of our social events. We will shortly add our
campaigns to it, for example people will soon be able to
sign our petition for improved policing in Stonehaven and
the Mearns (currently at 400).
We are determined to make ourselves as
accessible as possible. Earlier in the year we pioneered
text messaging by inviting the public to text their support
of our local campaigns."
