Tories Support Dee Salmon Fishery Opening

Aberdeenshire councillors Marcus Humphrey and Jill Webster, along with Northeast MSP Alex Johnstone were guests at the official opening of the Dee Salmon Fishery held at Milton Of Crathes.  The ceremony itself as carried out by television personality Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall who cast a quaich of malt whisky into the river before taking up his fishing rod to make a cast of a different kind.

The event was very well attended in spite of the extremely inclement weather, occasionally featuring heavy snow accompanied by a driving northerly wind.  Unfortunately Mr Fearnley-Whittingstall was unable to make the first catch of the season, retreating indoors empty handed.
