Alex Johnstone MSP - Pledges Support To Local Tourism

Johnstone MSP has signed up to give his support to Scottish
Tourism Week which runs from the 4th till the 11th of March.
The event was conceived by the Scottish
Tourism Forum to raise awareness of the importance of
tourism to the Scottish economy and it offers businesses
opportunities to network and to get their message across to
our politicians.
Speaking after signing
the pledge of support, the North East MSP said, "I see it as
the duty of every politician to do all they can to promote
economic growth and there is no doubt that tourism has
tremendous potential in the North East of Scotland."
"With tourism now the
fastest growing rural industry in Deeside and the Mearns, I
am disappointed that this series of events does not extend
into the North East. It is my intention to remedy that
situation in time for next year."
