Milne welcomes progress on supermarket watchdog

Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East has welcomed progress by the UK Conservative Government towards the creation of a supermarket watchdog, as draft legislation was introduced to the UK Parliament this week. The Draft Groceries Code Adjudicator Bill will seek to address imbalances in the supply chain to benefit both food producers and consumers.

North East MSP calls for urgent action from SNP on broadband black-spots

Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East has called on the SNP Scottish Government to bring forward funding to address rural broadband black-spots. Dr Milne has been leading the campaign to see improvements to broadband in Scotland, especially in rural communities. The North East MSP has written to Alex Neil MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure and Capital Investment asking for an update on what proposals the SNP Scottish Government has to bring forward investment in rural broadband. 

MSP welcomes Olympic torch relay to Aberdeen

Nanette Milne, Shadow Minister for Sport and Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East, has welcomed the news that the Olympics torch relay will come to Aberdeen on Monday 11th June 2012. The North East MSP has been leading calls for the Olympics torch relay to visit the North East and for the area to play it’s part in the Olympic celebrations.

£10 million to further cancer drug availability for Scots

Dr Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative Candidate for Aberdeenshire West is making a renewed commitment to the people of the North East for a Scottish Cancer Drugs Fund.   This follows revelations that there are 18 drugs in England and Wales that are not available in Scotland.
